PRESIDENT'S DAY
Not everything on my "to-do" list got crossed off yesterday, but I did get a lot done. I even made my current blog header. Maren called it "emo", I call it artsy fartsy.

I managed to hit up Saver's 50% off sale and snag 4 great pairs of jeans for $23 total; went grocery shopping; cleaned the apartment; made Pot Roast (overcame my fear of touching uncooked meat); did 5 loads of laundry; printed photos; and scrapbooked quite a few pages. I'm kind of on a roll with designing simple pages for my "BFF" book.

I plan to design more pages after work today ;)

FEBRUARY FAVS

CRAFT CORNER

My craft space is currently in upheaval. I have too many projects started & left unfinished. I did manage to finish the cd holder for my car, finally. It only has four slots for cds, but i plan to make more, possibly attach the backsides together. We'll see.

SAD DAY

It was a sad day on Tuesday, when i finished the final episode of Gilmore Girls.

Now i'm going to have to find a new show to watch start to finish. I borrowed Everwood from Jen. I've seen a few of those shows from first season. I actually don't know how many seasons there are.

I think i get too attached to characters from books, movies, and television. They're not real, but i still think about them as if they were. Goodbye Lorelai, Rory and crazy townspeople.

NEWS MEANT TO SURPRISE!

One of my best friends, Becky, got engaged on Sunday February 3rd! The best part was that I got to be a part of it. Becky was visiting from out of state this weekend to do our Christmas exchange. I know, how lame that we had to wait until February to exchange gifts, this just happened to be the weekend that worked out best for all 5 of us.

Her fiance drove up on Sunday to surprise her. We had to keep our excitement, giggles, and our 'i-know-something-that-you-dont-know' looks to ourselves the entire weekend! We went out to eat lunch on Sunday and timed it so that when we got back we would have enough time to give her a small gift with a note inside. The note said "There is a surprise at the door". When she opened it He was standing there with roses and the ring! Such a great idea. It was fun because we got to photo document the process.

It's always fun seeing a friend happy and in love. I look forward to the fall wedding.
